The work of EMCoS focuses especially on consultation on problems related to electromagnetic fields, data visualization and the generation of special simulation software.
We solve complex simulation problems for our customers and support them with processing of the complex data, or we offer appropriated tools to our customers to enable them to solve their problems without external help. Our target hasn't been the generation of electromagnetic or preprocessing software that claims to do everything. We see our mission in the generation of special methods and programs that are on the cutting edge of science as well as easy to use and that give the best solutions to the specific problems. For EMC problems we do not only combine the existing methods to access completely new areas of application, but we also improve the existing methods and develop new ones. This allows our customers to solve even very complex EMC problems quickly, conveniently, and with high accuracy.
Company Background
EMCoS was founded as a spin-off of scientists of the Laboratory of Applied Electrodynamics of the Tbilisi State University of Georgia. The Laboratory of Applied Electrodynamics has more than 20 years of experience in the field of data visualization and simulation of electromagnetic problems. In the beginning the projects of the Laboratory of Applied Electrodynamics were mainly related to complex military systems. In the last 10 years the fields of interest were supplemented with lots of other projects also with civil nature. Starting from the simulation of the nonlinear arc resistance as generated by ESD or electrical switches to the calculation of field coupling, or radiation of complex cable harness systems in automobiles the projects were wide spread.
Main Topics of Interest of EMCoS:
- Specialized Software for EM calculations
- Method of Moments (MoM)
- Transmission Line methods (MTL)
- Method of Auxiliary Sources (MAS)
- Finite Differences in Time Domain (FDTD)
- Finite Element Method (FEM)
- Geometry preprocessing, meshing and re-meshing software
- Data visualization software for complex cable harnesses
